Artist Profile
Seattle-based artist Jill Hall creates work rooted in the natural world, shaped by a deep interest in symbolism and the layered meanings carried through history, myth, and place. Her time living in Italy—surrounded by classical art, architecture, and sacred iconography—continues to inform her visual language. A graduate of the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Jill’s practice combines fine detail with an intuitive, process-driven approach. Her paintings and works on paper draw from plants, birds, and landscape as vessels for narrative and metaphor. Whether working in oil, watercolor, or graphite, she sees making as an act of attentive observation and quiet exploration. Jill’s work has been exhibited nationally, including award-winning recognition at the Puget Sound Bird Festival. She lives and works in Washington with her family, where she continues to make, travel, and grow her studio practice.
