Artist Statement
I explore the quiet relationships between humans and plants through oil painting, watercolor, and graphite studies. My work honors the resilience of wild things, especially those often overlooked—plants, herbs, roots, bird, and ephemera—and invites the viewer into a slower, more intentional way of seeing. I am drawn to the symbolic language of nature: the way certain forms, flowers, and elements carry layered meanings across time and culture, and sometimes politically. Through this lens, each painting becomes a quiet meditation on hidden histories, forgotten wisdom, and the enduring power of the natural world to speak in metaphor.
